Shape the future of Merative!

We invite you to shape the future of Merative, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:

Post your ideas

Start by posting ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted and upvote them if they matter to you,

  1. Post an idea

  2. Upvote ideas that matter most to you

  3. Get feedback from the Merative team to refine your idea

Help Merative prioritize your ideas and requests

The Merative team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The offering manager team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at Merative works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.

Receive notification on the decision

Some ideas can be implemented at Merative, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.

Having Task Type and Task Subtype assigned while creating task

When a task is created in SPM assignments is done in a typical way where in there is no scope for allowing a user to filter out the tasks based on any task types as the only differentiating factor is the subject that is very peculiar and not unique in any way.

Hi, we (NZ) have made some customisations in our implementation to have tasks types (however we manage absolute majority of our tasks in an external system).

    Hi Sowmya,

We have reviewed your enhancement suggestion. Based on the information provided, our understanding of your request is as follows:
You require the ability to have the task type and subtype assigned when a task is created.

The theme is aligned with our current multi-year strategy for our product and we have accepted your suggestion as a consideration for a future release. Our roadmap focus on Caseworker Experience will allow us to explore topics such as this one, with sponsor user input. Not all items under consideration will make it into a release. As plans are confirmed, you will be notified when a specific release includes this enhancement.

Thank you for taking the time to share your ideas with us. We are committed to involving our users in building our product roadmap and appreciate your suggestions.

    Regards,
Shane McFadden, SPM Offering Management team

    Hello Shane,

    To answer your questions:
    1. Is this enhancement required for a customer implementation and if so can you let us know who?
Yes this enhancement is for Scottish Government customer.

    2. Could you provide more supporting information as to the business scenarios where you require the ability to have the task type and subtype assigned when a task is created?
    a) Scenario when an application gets submitted for a person a task gets raised in the background and assigned to work queue to notify the case workers to process the application. Currently there is no way to find out if the application was submitted out of error or duplicate. In this case the task type would be application submission and sub type being error or duplicate.
    b) When we have change of circumstances which might have n number of changes related to the person there is no way to find out what's the actual change in the task until and unless the case workers goes and checks it manually For example the sub type in this case can be "change of name", "change of address", "change in nationality".

The above ones are few, but we have many such business requirement surrounding to show task type and sub type when the task is created.
Hope this is detailed enough. Kindly let me know if you need any more information.

    Thanks and Regards
    Sowmya
