Merative Ideas Portal

Shape the future of Merative!

We invite you to shape the future of Merative, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:

Post your ideas

Start by posting ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted and upvote them if they matter to you,

  1. Post an idea

  2. Upvote ideas that matter most to you

  3. Get feedback from the Merative team to refine your idea

Help Merative prioritize your ideas and requests

The Merative team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The offering manager team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at Merative works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.

Receive notification on the decision

Some ideas can be implemented at Merative, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.

Tasks forwarded needs to be automatically reserved if the property is set...

Tasks reserved by a worker when forwarded to another worker is not
reserved for the new worker.

Steps -
1. Login as a worker and create a task and assign to self.
2. Navigate to the task home page.
3. Forward this task to another worker.
4. Login as the other worker to confirm if the task forwarded is
reserved.

Expected Result - Task should have been automatically reserved to the new user.

Actual Result - Task is not reserved when forwarded to the new worker, but, rather goes back to 'Assigned Tasks' list.

User Story # - 156565

    Hi Shankarnarayana,

On looking into your request further and doing a deeper evaluation of it, it has been determined that it cannot be implemented at this time.

The reason for this is because reserving a task is intended to mean that the user is ready to start working on the task or actively working on it. We do not think that it can be assumed that just because a task is forwarded to a user that they are immediately going to start working on it and that it takes priority over other tasks assigned to that user. Tasks have priority assigned, they have deadline dates etc. plus users may also have to consider assignment of tasks from other sources also (e.g. work-queue tasks) Because of this we believe that the user still needs to reserve the tasks as they see fit and therefore it is not something that we currently plan to address in-product.

Your request may be resubmitted for consideration after 12 months from the date of decline.

Thank you for your interest in the Cúram product.

    Hi Shankarnarayana,

Thank you for your enhancement request. We require some further analysis internally to determine whether or not it can be considered in a future release. I will provide another response when this investigation is complete.
