Merative Ideas Portal

Shape the future of Merative!

We invite you to shape the future of Merative, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:

Post your ideas

Start by posting ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted and upvote them if they matter to you,

  1. Post an idea

  2. Upvote ideas that matter most to you

  3. Get feedback from the Merative team to refine your idea

Help Merative prioritize your ideas and requests

The Merative team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The offering manager team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at Merative works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.

Receive notification on the decision

Some ideas can be implemented at Merative, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.

UA Responsive : IEG field validations do not highlight or display against the question unlike mandatory questions

Issue description:

IBM Support Case: WH00012279

Presently, It is difficult to use IEG form validations which are dependent on previous question, i.e. these are conditional mandatory.

Proposed Enhancement:
To highlight the validations against the question similar to the questions with the mandatory or domain validation errors that are displayed at the top are also repeated next to the failing question.

For example: Refer to attached screenshot.
In this scenario phone number and email validations are IEG validation dependent on other question- preferred phone/email type, which does not fall into mandatory or domain validation.

    Hi Nimesh,

We are pleased to inform you that in our upcoming release all IEG field validations in the responsive web app clearly show the field the validation applies to so it is clearer to all users, including those using screen readers or other accessibility tools, where there may be any errors or missing information.

To take advantage of this enhancement you will require the lastest CE release 7.4.0 and Version 8.1.3 of Curam by Merative which will be released on the 28th Nov 2024. For more information see the CE v7.4.0 release notes and the chapter IEG in the Universal Access Web Application in the Cúram Universal Access Responsive Web Application guide

Thank you for taking the time to share your ideas with us. We are committed to involving our users in building our product roadmap and appreciate your suggestions.

    Regards,

Graham McCrindle, CURAM Product Management Team

    Hi Nimesh,

We have reviewed your enhancement suggestion. Based on the information provided, our understanding of your request is as follows:

You would like IEG field validations in Responsive UA to show more clearly the field that the validation applies/is related to so it is clearer to all users, including those using screen readers or other accessibility tools, where there may be any errors or missing information.

Improving the citizen experience and productivity is aligned with our current multi-year strategy for our product, therefore we have accepted your suggestion as a consideration for a future release. Please note that not all items accepted for further consideration will make it into a release. As plans are confirmed, you will be notified when a specific release includes this enhancement.

    Thank you,
Drake Broussard, SPM Product Management team
