Merative Ideas Portal

Shape the future of Merative!

We invite you to shape the future of Merative, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:

Post your ideas

Start by posting ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted and upvote them if they matter to you,

  1. Post an idea

  2. Upvote ideas that matter most to you

  3. Get feedback from the Merative team to refine your idea

Help Merative prioritize your ideas and requests

The Merative team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The offering manager team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at Merative works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.

Receive notification on the decision

Some ideas can be implemented at Merative, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.

Support later version of Safari

The supported hardware and software document lists the version of Safari that we support (and provides a note to say we do not support tablet devices).

It could be argued that the document suggests we support Safari on Windows only (to see the supported browsers you have to click a platform and MacOS is not a platform). However I believe the intent is that we support Safari on any platform on which it is supported which is not a phone or a tablet.

The version listed is very old. As far as I can see it is actually the latest supported version of Safari on Windows (because Apple effectively killed Safari on Windows) but really isn't available on Macs any more.

So it seems that if our Safari statement is to be useful for customers and justify the internal testing cost it would be better increasing the version even if this means dropping Safari support for Windows.

    Hi Dave,

We are happy to inform you that your enhancement request has been delivered in the new release of IBM Cúram Social Program Management, version 7.0.0.0, that was released yesterday.

Apple Safari 5.1.7 became the latest version of Safari developed for Windows. However, there have been no updates to this version of Safari for the last number of years and hence it has been effectively discontinued. Therefore, support for Apple Safari 5.1.7, which can be used to connect to the Universal Access application, has been discontinued. References to it in the associated prerequisites have been removed.

Support has been added for the macOS operating system Apple Safari browser to access the Universal Access application. The version certified for this release is Apple Safari 10.

We hope that this addition to the product will meet your requirements sufficiently.

I will now close this ticket as delivered.

Thank you for your interest in the Cúram product.

David, in our next release it is our intention to remove support for Safari v5.1.7 (for Windows) as Apple no longer supports that version. We will also be introducing support for Safari v10 for our external applications such as Universal Access and Intelligent Evidence Gathering.
