Merative Ideas Portal

Shape the future of Merative!

We invite you to shape the future of Merative, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:

Post your ideas

Start by posting ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted and upvote them if they matter to you,

  1. Post an idea

  2. Upvote ideas that matter most to you

  3. Get feedback from the Merative team to refine your idea

Help Merative prioritize your ideas and requests

The Merative team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The offering manager team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at Merative works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.

Receive notification on the decision

Some ideas can be implemented at Merative, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.

Please provide a responsive UI on mobile devices

Upon testing Curam V8 responsive UI we have discovered that it is only responsive on desktop browsers, but not on mobile devices.

We need pages based on Curam UIM's and IEG scripts to work on mobile devices, especially in the context of Curam Provider Portal as it is public facing application.

Can this please be reopened for reconsideration?
Non-responsive UI on mobile devices is a major barrier for adding more functionality for partnering with providers as usability and accessibility of the system is a major concern when evaluating options.

    thank you

    Hi Linas,

We have reviewed your enhancement suggestion. Based on the information provided, our understanding of your request is as follows:
    * You are requesting that pages based on UIM's and IEG scripts across SPM be made responsive to work on mobile devices, such as smart phones, for the purposes of public facing portals such as Provider Portal.

We acknowledge the benefit of your suggested enhancement however we do not plan to make the application responsive to mobile devices in the near term and this request will be closed.

We do have plans to look at improvements to the provider portal however where responsiveness will be considered.

    Thank you,
Eloise O'Riordan, SPM Product Management team

Note: We have improved the RFE experience and transitioned to an Ideas Portal provided by our trusted business partner Aha!

    Hi Shane,

We have raised a support case prior to the request of enhancement (WH00012209) it has a bit of details about what investigation IBM has already done in the past.

We do have several scenarios in production and some functionality that we’d like to build in the near future.

Current functionality that is not responsive exposed via CPP (affects small number of users):

    1. Download pre-generated invoices that providers can submit to us

    2. Accept the pre-generated invoices

    3. Request updates / corrections to the pregenerated invoices

    4. List housing vacancy

    5. Retrieve the list of candidates for a housing vacancy

    6. Confirm candidates for the housing vacancy

    7. Upload documents

Current functionality that is not responsive to be exposed via CPP in the next few months (affects small number of users):

    1. List temporary housing vacancy and rooms

    2. Manage the temporary vacancy (indicate availability/withdraw)

Functionality that we are intending/would like to expose via CPP in the near future (large number of users, potentially very small organisations, such as small building contractors, small 2-5 people organisations, who are doing most of their business on the mobile phone) :

    1. When a provider is employment subsidy provider

      1. Download the agreement

      2. Accept the agreement

      3. Upload monthly invoices (csv or doc file) as per agreement

    2. When a provider is an employer

      1. List vacancy

      2. Review the candidates referred from the ministry to the employer

      3. Download the confirmation that the vacancy could not be filled with a local labour force

    3. When provider is an online training provider:

      1. Upload training related invoices

    4. Anonymous provider inquiries about registering / finding out about working together with the ministry

The main issue is that Curam Provider portal is not responsive (on mobile devices) and that is a barrier for using Curam for more provider specific services.

Additionally we do have another public facing system for handling Student applications for the student specific services such as student loans (large number of student users, a lot of them using mobile devices as preferred method of interaction). This system has been built on Curam SPM in the past before Universal Access was available:

    • UIM pages as intro before application

    • IEG scripts for application

    • Rules for potential eligibility

    • UIM pages for displaying results and next steps information

We expect that IBM updating Carbon design system in SPM to be responsive on mobiles would give us opportunity to do a reasonably simple technical upgrade of this Students Applications system and it would allow students to apply for the services they need using mobile devices.

Please let me know how I can provide more details (e.g. existing screenshots) via channel that would not be exposed to public (as far as I understand all comments on the “Watson Health Ideas Portal” are publicly visible)

    Thanks, Linas

    Hi Linas,

We have reviewed your enhancement suggestion and require more information to properly understand the issue and the business scenario you are trying to support.

We would like to get a better understanding of the functionality you plan to put into the provider portal. If you could expand on the details from the use case where you mentioned 'such as submit payment claims for employment subsidy, read correspondence, submit job vacancies'.
Wireframes/screenshots of the pages in the portal would be ideal so we can evaluate if the embedded components have already been replaced by IBM Carbon in the latest V8.0 release and may already meet your requirements.

Please provide the requested information within 30 days so we may proceed with our evaluation. If we do not hear from you within that timeframe we will have to close the request due to insufficient information.

    Thank you,
Shane McFadden, SPM Offering Management team
