Merative Ideas Portal

Shape the future of Merative!

We invite you to shape the future of Merative, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:

Post your ideas

Start by posting ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted and upvote them if they matter to you,

  1. Post an idea

  2. Upvote ideas that matter most to you

  3. Get feedback from the Merative team to refine your idea

Help Merative prioritize your ideas and requests

The Merative team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The offering manager team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at Merative works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.

Receive notification on the decision

Some ideas can be implemented at Merative, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.

Allow HTML launching with target attribute

Hi,
We would raise a PMR to Curam/IBM whereby they would change the behaviour of launches from Curam to allow the use of the target attribute.
This would allow each launch for a particular system to go to only one window.
Normal web pages using HTML can allow a launch to a different browser page with a target attribute set to the name of the new window.
In other word, if you want the links to open in a new window on every click, use a target attribute value of _blank. And you can use a target attribute value of _new or another other valid value name starting with alphabetic character to open a new window and re-use that window for any other subsequent clicks that target to the same name.

Unfortunately, Curam does not allow the use of the target attribute in launches.
The w3 page on tags, attributes etc. is: http://www.w3schools.com/tags/att_a_target.asp

    Hi Cong,

Do the following steps meet your requirement?

You can add the following attribute to a LINK element in UIM:
    Attribute Name: OPEN_NEW
    Required: No
    default value: false
description: When set to true, this flag indicates that the linked page should be opened in a new window.
When set to false (the default) the linked page will be opened in the current window. This setting is only supported for links to external sites.

If we do not receive a reply within 30 days, this request will be closed.

    Thank you,
Eloise O'Riordan, Cúram SPM Offering Management team

    Hi Eloise,
It would be for internal sites.
The Curam application at MSD is required to launch to ABT for making bookings and appointments.

This would allow each launch for a particular system (such as ABT) to go to only one window for all ABT work.
    Thank you very much.

    Hi Cong,

We already support this for links that point to external sites.

However if you are referring to internal sites we will need further details on the rationale for wanting to do this. Could you please provide some specific examples that describe the business reasons and the problems you are trying to solve?

    Thanks,

    Hi Cong,

Thank you for your enhancement request. We require some further analysis to determine whether or not it can be considered in a future release. I will provide another response when this investigation is complete.

    Thanks again,
