Help Merative prioritize your ideas and requests

The Merative team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The offering manager team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at Merative works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.

Receive notification on the decision

Some ideas can be implemented at Merative, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.

Require a Hook Point for customizing EvidenceController.getPeriodAsLocalizedString()

OOTB EvidenceController.getPeriodAsLocalizedString() supports the following three time periods:

1) Ongoing time periods where the end date is set to the zero date
2) Point-in-time periods where the start date is equal to the end date
3) Limited time periods where both the start and end date are defined but are not equal to each other

What this method lacks is support for unlimited time periods in which both the start date and the end date are equal to the zero date.

    As per the discussion with Jason, This issue was only with the countable assistance period evidence and the state is no longer using this evidence. This RFE should be rescinded.

    Hi Maribeth,

    Another API exists which is normally used called getPeriodForBusinessObject().
    Have you considered using this API instead?
    This API was extended to include a hook point evidence period hook, which was added in v7.0.5.0 which allows the start date to be customized where the evidence doesn't have a business start date.

    If you still require a Hook Point for customizing EvidenceController.getPeriodAsLocalizedString, can we please get a clear stack trace so we can get a better sense of where this would be called from?
