Merative Ideas Portal

Shape the future of Merative!

We invite you to shape the future of Merative, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:

Post your ideas

Start by posting ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted and upvote them if they matter to you,

  1. Post an idea

  2. Upvote ideas that matter most to you

  3. Get feedback from the Merative team to refine your idea

Help Merative prioritize your ideas and requests

The Merative team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The offering manager team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at Merative works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.

Receive notification on the decision

Some ideas can be implemented at Merative, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.

Smart navigation - feature/hook to have alerts/checks while navigating to a screen and bypassing person homepage

We'd like to request functionality/hook point to present important information related to client in Smart Navigation when a user bypasses person home page.

At the moment all client, case and client notes related functionality is accessed by users navigating through the person home page first.
This person home page has been customised to provide staff safety and important client information to the user.

    Hi Linas,

We are happy to inform you that your enhancement request was delivered in the release of IBM Cúram Social Program Management, version 7.0.7.0.

This is described in the Knowledge Centre What's New for 7.0.7: https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SS8S5A_7.0.8/com.ibm.curam.content.doc/whats_new/spm_707_whatsnew.html

IBM Cúram Smart Navigator is a feature that enables quick navigation to predefined persons, pages, or tabs. You can use the new navigation hook to intercept navigation and insert custom processing between the click of a result and navigation to the related page. For example, you could use custom processing to display important information to the caseworker that, otherwise, might be bypassed. For more information, see Navigation hook and Implementing a navigation hook.
We hope that this addition to the product will meet your requirements sufficiently.

I will now close this ticket as delivered.

Thank you for your interest in the Cúram product.

We'd like to clarify and provide some examples of what we expect a hook point to do:
    1. Determine if extra information needs to be displayed before navigating to the target page
    2. Display extra information tailored to the client's situation (e.g. through a custom modal dialog)
    3. Get a forced acknowledgement that the user has read / understood the information.
    4. Invoke extra system processing if required
    5. Additionally, do not display this extra information when the same user is accessing the same person's record several times in the same session

    Example 1:
A user is using smart navigation trying to access the record of the client who has a special caution "Home detainee".

The hook implementation determines that a special caution exists and displays a page/modal dialog to inform the user that this client has a special caution of "Home detainee" and the comment from the special caution record.
A user clicks OK to acknowledge the message and is taken to the target page.

    Example 2:
A user is using smart navigation trying to access the record of the client who has a flag "Warrant to arrest - public risk".

The hook implementation determines that a the flag "warrant to arrest - public risk" exists in the database for the client and displays a page/modal dialog to inform the user that this client has "warrant to arrest - public risk" and asks user to indicate whether the client is with the user.

If user selects "yes, client is in the office" the hook (or the action in the modal dialog/UIM) sends an email to the central office and user is taken to the target page.
If user select "no, client is not in the office" the hook does nothing extra and user is taken to the target page.

    Example 3:
A user is trying to access a record of the client who has no special cautions, no must view notes and flag "warrant to arrest - public risk" is not set.

The hook implementation determines that no extra information is required to be displayed and smart navigation takes the user to the target page with no interruption.
