Merative Ideas Portal

Shape the future of Merative!

We invite you to shape the future of Merative, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:

Post your ideas

Start by posting ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted and upvote them if they matter to you,

  1. Post an idea

  2. Upvote ideas that matter most to you

  3. Get feedback from the Merative team to refine your idea

Help Merative prioritize your ideas and requests

The Merative team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The offering manager team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at Merative works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.

Receive notification on the decision

Some ideas can be implemented at Merative, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.

Processing one member of an application without processing other members of the application

The South Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (SCDHHS) needs to be able to process one member of an application case without processing the other members of an application to be in compliance with CFR §435.952 use of information and requests of additional information from individuals, and §435.911 determination of eligibility. There are three main reasons we may need to process one member of an application without processing the other members of the application.
A. Income on the case passes Reasonable Compatibility (RC) rules for one member on a case but it does not pass RC rules for other members on the case. Since RC rules are tied to comparing the Electronic Data Source for income and the client's statement of income to the income limit for a program it is very likely that the income on the case will be considered RC for the children but not for the adults.
B. There is an outstanding verification that is needed for one member of a case but there are not outstanding verifications needed for other members on a case. We should not have to delay the processing of members of the application while awaiting the verifications of the other members.
C. SCDHHS approves Pregnant Women assumptively so that they can receive medical treatment while gathering the needed verifications for SCDHHS to process the case. In a situation where a member of the application is pregnant but there are outstanding verifications for the other members, we should be able to approve the Pregnant Woman while awaiting verifications of the other members.

Identified as a valid enhancement for target release in 2017. Approach will involve elements of NC approach where ineligibility notifications will not be sent until 45-day timer expires. During which time, applicant may move to eligible determination based on updated evidence.

Item was discussed as part of call on 6/16.

Request submitted to NC to review how this was implemented in NC, but it is believed that the business process in NC will not meet the requirements of SC.

Thank you for your enhancement request. We are currently analysing the requirement and will provide another update when that analysis is complete to confirm whether or not the enhancement will be considered in a future functional release.
