Merative Ideas Portal

Shape the future of Merative!

We invite you to shape the future of Merative, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:

Post your ideas

Start by posting ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted and upvote them if they matter to you,

  1. Post an idea

  2. Upvote ideas that matter most to you

  3. Get feedback from the Merative team to refine your idea

Help Merative prioritize your ideas and requests

The Merative team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The offering manager team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at Merative works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.

Receive notification on the decision

Some ideas can be implemented at Merative, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.

A new feature to turn on and off task notifications

It is possible to disable some of the OOTB notifications individually using application properties that have been implemented for specific notifications.

It is also possible to disable all notifications for which the delivery mechanism for the notification is set as "standard" (as defined in the process definition metadata associated with that notification) by setting the "curam.notification.sendnotificationalerts" application property to 'No', the "curam.notification.sendnotificationemails" application property to 'No', and the "curam.custom.notifications.notificationdelivery" property to the "curam.core.sl.impl.NotificationDeliveryStrategy" class (which it defaults to out-of-the-box).

All out-of-the-box notifications have a standard delivery mechanism and use this function. If the application properties are set as described above, then all notifications, including custom notifications that the customer implements, that use the standard delivery mechanism will not be delivered as an alert."

Through RFE, business is looking for some kind of interface where they can turn on / off all or certain notification without changing the properties files.

Attachment (Description): This is the analysis that the AMS team did in response to the clients request. The team gave a solution of how to stop the "notification" tasks. It was a customization of methods in the Notification class. There is a solution that was copied from the associated PMR for how to fix this but the issue was that those settings is what is causing our "notification" task issues. They are no longer sent as emails and tasks are created instead.
