Merative Ideas Portal

Shape the future of Merative!

We invite you to shape the future of Merative, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:

Post your ideas

Start by posting ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted and upvote them if they matter to you,

  1. Post an idea

  2. Upvote ideas that matter most to you

  3. Get feedback from the Merative team to refine your idea

Help Merative prioritize your ideas and requests

The Merative team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The offering manager team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at Merative works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.

Receive notification on the decision

Some ideas can be implemented at Merative, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.

Need Additional Trigger Points for Evidence Sharing from an Application Case other than Authorization

This could be useful if an Application Case is open for a significant amount of time for processing. The client may want to start using some of the new information from that AC more immediately than authorization (such as once it is verified). The client may also want to save some of the data from an application case for future use even if the AC ends up being denied.

Customer Name ESDC (Canada)
Persona Based Summary

As a caseworker, I want to capture and use the new phone number or address provided by the client on their new application, even though they have already applied for this benefit and their application case is going to be denied.

Market Segment WH Government
Type of Request Customer Requirement
Market Opportunity

The market opportunity for this is the ongoing adoption and leverage of OOTB Curam by the ESDC project, plus any other clients who may want to avoid customization in this area.

Usage frequency + #/type of users impacted

Many times per day (for every application received) across tens of millions of clients in Canada. Up to 2000 users impacted.

CURAM:Workarounds + Proposed Solution

Partial workaround may be mapping person evidence from new applications directly to the Person rather than through the application case. This would work for person level evidence, but is not appropriate for case level evidence where this functionality may still be needed (if a piece of data on a to-be-denied AC would still be useful to update an existing IC or other open AC).

    Hi Dean,

We have reviewed your enhancement suggestion. Based on the information provided, our understanding of your request is as follows:

    • You are requesting that additional evidence sharing trigger points be provided in an application case to enable sharing of evidence prior to authorization of the application case.

The theme is aligned with our current strategy for our product to continue to improve application for benefit intake processing, as well as how common person evidence is managed, and we have accepted your suggestion as a consideration for a future release.

Thank you for taking the time to share your ideas with us. We are committed to involving our users in building our product roadmap and appreciate your suggestion.

    Thank you,

Sheryl Brenton, SPM Product Management Team
