Shape the future of Merative!

We invite you to shape the future of Merative, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:

Post your ideas

Start by posting ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted and upvote them if they matter to you,

  1. Post an idea

  2. Upvote ideas that matter most to you

  3. Get feedback from the Merative team to refine your idea

Help Merative prioritize your ideas and requests

The Merative team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The offering manager team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at Merative works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.

Receive notification on the decision

Some ideas can be implemented at Merative, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.

Require the ability to prevent brokering for non participant evidences logically equivalent

Currently automatic evidence sharing is only available for evidence types configured on a person case. This is too restrictive and should be available for any evidence type regardless of where it lives. Here's the information from the PMR raised by the customer:

Problem description:
Currently, when brokering non-Participant Data Case evidence, the Evidence Broker makes no attempt to discern if the evidence being brokered is logically equivalent to evidence already present on the target case based on the values of the attributes of the evidence being brokered. This causes a cumbersome amount of evidence to be unnecessarily brokered to cases, requiring caseworkers to have to expend extraordinary amounts of time discarding these evidence items. In addition, as they become conditioned to simply discarding evidence items to cope with the volume of brokered evidence that must be handled, caseworkers are more likely to lose focus of the content of the evidence that has been brokered and unintentionally discard evidence that has brokered with genuine changes of circumstance.

The Evidence Broker has produced more than 100 evidence items, most of which will simply be discarded. And, it should be noted, the caseworker has to spend time discarding each evidence item individually. This is an unacceptable burden to caseworkers, but it does not have to be.

The Evidence Broker can be smarter about how it choses which evidence items to broker. There is already a precedent for this with Participant Data Case (PDC) evidence. When a PDC evidence item is brokered, a matcher custom to the evidence's type is utilized to determine if the evidence item already exists on the target case. If a match is found, then the evidence item is not shared. A hook point allowing for custom
matchers that can determine whether an evidence item should be allowed to broker needs to be added to the Evidence Broker to extend this capability to all evidence types.
