  3. Get feedback from the Merative team to refine your idea

Help Merative prioritize your ideas and requests

The Merative team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The offering manager team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at Merative works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.

Receive notification on the decision

Some ideas can be implemented at Merative, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.

Cúram Batch Streaming ability to dynamically determine number of streamers

The Cúram batch streaming framework provides no ability to dynamically determine the optimal number of streams required to process the work. This presents challenges when operating a production batch schedule whereby volumes of work can change from day to day or during weekly or monthly events (such as pay runs). Too few streams means the job takes longer than necessary. Too many streams can cause problems if the work is processed before all streams are initialised after launch.

    Hi Hosein,

    We have reviewed your request and have determined that adding the ability to dynamically determine the optimal number of streams required to process work in the Cúram batch streaming framework is not something we could provide as a job scheduler type solution however we do consider your request for more information from the Cúram batch streaming framework to be provided valid and so I wanted to check with you, if we were to provide an enhancement that would provide sufficient information from the Cúram batch streaming infrastructure to allow a 3rd party tool to manage the stream allocation, would this meet your need?

    Hi Hosein,

    Thank you for submitting this enhancement request, which we consider to be a valuable addition to the product. We do require some further analysis internally do determine whether or not it can be added to our roadmap. I will respond further once that analysis has been completed.
