  3. Get feedback from the Merative team to refine your idea

Help Merative prioritize your ideas and requests

The Merative team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The offering manager team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at Merative works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.

Receive notification on the decision

Some ideas can be implemented at Merative, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.

Request to provide CaseDeductionItem post insertion event

Whenever a case deduction item is created in OOTB we need to insert a record into custom BDMCaseDeductionItem table. This custom table holds extra columns related to deduction item to support client requirements. In earlier versions we were able to achieve this by turning on postDataAccess option but this is discouraged now. Also it is not feasible to achieve this through façade wrappers as this again require customizations to screens. To address this, please provide a post insertion event for CaseDeductionItem

    We have reviewed your enhancement suggestion. Based on the information provided and discussions with Lab Services staff, our understanding of your request is as follows:

    - You are requesting an enhancement to provide a post processing insertion event for Case Deduction Items in order to support custom processing that inserts records into a custom table.

    In product, the following event type is available under the Deductions event class:

    - Create Deduction

    You can also configure new process enactments for events that can be used to initiate workflow processes for any custom processing you might then want to execute when the events are raised.

    Hi Benoit,

    We have reviewed your enhancement and we would like to request more information to better understand the business requirements you are trying to meet.

    As a clarification to the last response we provided, what we meant to ask about was the following event type that is available under the CaseDeductionItem event class:
    - ActivateDeduction

    Also, could you provide further information about the business purpose for the extra columns that you need to add that do not exist in the OOTB CaseDeductionItem table. Are these requirements related to another request you raised in Dev Works: http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/rfe/execute?use_case=viewChangeRequest&CR_ID=154556

    Please provide the requested information within 30 days so we may proceed with our evaluation. If we do not hear from you within that timeframe, we will have to close the request due to insufficient information.
