Merative Ideas Portal

Shape the future of Merative!

We invite you to shape the future of Merative, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:

Post your ideas

Start by posting ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted and upvote them if they matter to you,

  1. Post an idea

  2. Upvote ideas that matter most to you

  3. Get feedback from the Merative team to refine your idea

Help Merative prioritize your ideas and requests

The Merative team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The offering manager team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at Merative works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.

Receive notification on the decision

Some ideas can be implemented at Merative, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.

Make OOTB Class PDMRunCaseControlStateHelperImpl extensible

OOTB curam.hcr.pdm.sl.impl.PDMRunCaseControlStateHelperImpl class is annotated with AccessLevelType.RESTRICTED which do not allow to customize it in a compliant manner.

PLEASE NOTE: I have attempted to attach a zip file to this RFE to support the Business Case but I continue to get an error. Attached is the error message. Please advise how I can include the zip attachment to this RFE.

    Hi Maribeth,

We have reviewed your enhancement suggestion. Based on the information provided, our understanding of your request is as follows:

OOTB, there is a map of legal status transitions for PDM/AR. This map is checked each time the PDM/AR status is changed. If the status transition being attempted is not present the map i.e. illegal, then a validation is thrown.
You are requesting that the PDMRunCaseControlStateHelperImpl class be made extensible to allow you to compliantly add your own status transitions to this map so that validations are not thrown.

The theme is aligned with our current multi-year strategy for our product and we have accepted your suggestion as a consideration for a future release. Not all items under consideration will make it into a release. As plans are confirmed, you will be notified when a specific release includes this enhancement.

Thank you for taking the time to share your ideas with us. We are committed to involving our users in building our product roadmap and appreciate your suggestions.

    Regards,
Shane McFadden, SPM Offering Management team

    Requirement -
As part of the Annual Renewal process, we track the stages a case progresses through as it goes through the process. Most of these stages are defined OOTB, but the state requires additional stages to explicitly track when a case has been sent to the FedHub(transition state : UNPROCESSED) and when a response from the FedHub has been processed(transistion state : REQ_SUBMITTED).

Unfortunately, OOTB does not provide a compliant way of adding additional stages such as these for tracking the Annual Renewal process, and the additions made by the state were done non-compliantly. Please refer the attached zip.

    Hi Maribeth,

    Thanks for your previous response.

We would like to dig a little deeper into the business reasons behind this request.

Why do you need more transitions, are there gaps out of the box that we didn't consider?

This will help us understand if you get blocked further down the line, given you haven't implemented this yet based on your recent response.

    Thank you,
Shane McFadden, Cúram SPM Product Management team
