Merative Ideas Portal

Shape the future of Merative!

We invite you to shape the future of Merative, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:

Post your ideas

Start by posting ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted and upvote them if they matter to you,

  1. Post an idea

  2. Upvote ideas that matter most to you

  3. Get feedback from the Merative team to refine your idea

Help Merative prioritize your ideas and requests

The Merative team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The offering manager team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at Merative works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.

Receive notification on the decision

Some ideas can be implemented at Merative, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.

logoutExitPage ignored in logout.jsp

OOTB logout.jsp has the following code:

We compliantly overrode logout.jsp to add a custom logout exit page, however this is ignored in servlet/ApplicationController, which is the form action. The only way to achieve a custom success logout exit page is to either non-compliantly modify ApplicationController or guess the logic of Application Controller and add it to our custom logout.jsp as a jsp:scriptlet that gets invoked on form submission. Latter is our chosen approach, but it is not nice. If logoutExitPage is not allowed then it should be removed from the supplied OOTB logout.jsp

    Thanks.
    1) WAS 9.0.0.8
    2) default SPM v7.0.7 settings were used for timeouts
    3) Had thought it was compliant by copying an OOTB version (from CDEJ) to components/custom/WebContent. However on further inspection of the compliancy guide it is ambiguous: It states "Files from the CuramCDEJ folder are copied to temporary build folders during the application build process. The presence of such files outside of the CuramCDEJ folder does not make them available for customization." However the customization guide also points to https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SS8S5A_7.0.9/com.ibm.curam.content.doc/WebClientReference/r_WEBCREF_Development1LoginPages1.html which states it IS ok to copy the logon.jsp/ Since logout.jsp is in the same folder it has been inferred that this is ok. Will be good if this can be clarified as part of this RFE

    Hi Garry,

In order to evaluate your request, we require that you provide more detail so that we can fully understand this request.

    1. What application server are you deploying your application to and testing your solution (WAS, WLS etc.)?
    2. Are you using the session timeout feature and if so, can you document the various settings and properties associated with this feature if you are using it?
    3. What IBM SPM documentation are you following to "compliantly" customize the logout page?

    Thank you,
Shane McFadden, Cúram SPM Product Management team
