Merative Ideas Portal

Shape the future of Merative!

We invite you to shape the future of Merative, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:

Post your ideas

Start by posting ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted and upvote them if they matter to you,

  1. Post an idea

  2. Upvote ideas that matter most to you

  3. Get feedback from the Merative team to refine your idea

Help Merative prioritize your ideas and requests

The Merative team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The offering manager team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at Merative works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.

Receive notification on the decision

Some ideas can be implemented at Merative, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.

Application Form Disappears if fails to submit

The failed application form should be shown on the "Pending Application Forms" screen or another appropriate place, with a "Failure" status, which provides sufficient information for
the caseworker, allowing him/her to take further action.

More about the Problem:

The submitted OOTB Application Form disappears in the scenario where the submission workflow fails due to any unhandled errors. As expected, we can see the failed workflow as part of "Process Monitoring" under "Process Instance Errors" on the Administration Workspace (Admin). Here, the Admin can re-try submission of the application form, but in no way is the
case-worker informed about this failure (task or notification) and there is no action that the case-worker can take. Also, case worker will not have access to the Admin workflow screen. In addition, once a form has failed to submit, we can't submit another application since it fails saying that a pending application already exists for the client.

Please see below references to OOTB Application and Application Form life cycles. We are not using old style Applications and are using Application Form but the statuses on those two don't match. Application Form lifecycle (second link) doesn't seem to have any provision for failed submission.

The link (https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/en/SS8S5A_7.0.0/com.ibm.curam.content.doc/CommonIntake/c_COMINLifecycleApplicationStatuses.html) talks
about the life cycle of an Application and mentions that an application that has failed to submit moves into the "Submit Failed" status, however this does
not happen in our use-case where the application submission has failed due to an unhandled error. We note however though that this is talkig about old style applications which we are not using as we are using Application Form below but we'd expect the failures to be handled in similiar way.

The link (https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/en/SS8S5A_7.0.0/com.ibm.curam.content.doc/Intake/c_CINLifecycleCreatingApplicationForm.html) talks
about the life cycle of an Application form and has different statuses associated with it which matches our use-case. As mentioned above, we don't see any provision for failed status.

Please note that it's the same behaviour whether the property 'curam.intake.use.resilience' is true or false.
