Shape the future of Merative!

We invite you to shape the future of Merative, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:

Post your ideas

Start by posting ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted and upvote them if they matter to you,

  1. Post an idea

  2. Upvote ideas that matter most to you

  3. Get feedback from the Merative team to refine your idea

Help Merative prioritize your ideas and requests

The Merative team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The offering manager team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at Merative works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.

Receive notification on the decision

Some ideas can be implemented at Merative, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.

Improve Copy-Pasting Functionality in Curam Notes Editor

Currently, the Curam Notes Editor does not retain certain styling and formatting when copying and pasting notes from a Word file. The issues observed include:

  • Icons and images are not pasted from templates.

  • Bullet points marked as a), b), c) are turned into 1., 1., 1.

  • Line spacing is not retained.

  • Background shading is not carried over.

  • Left-aligned headings become center-aligned.

  • Ctrl+Shift+V key is not working when pasting notes in rich text editor

Reasons:

Template Utilization in SAMS:
In SAMS, we've created numerous templates for caseworkers to utilize across various tasks and cases. These templates serve as starting points, with caseworkers filling in details and adding them to notes to ensure uniformity. Proper formatting is crucial to maintain the integrity of these templates.

Consistency and Organization:
Proper formatting ensures that notes retain their original structure and appearance, which is essential for maintaining the organized documentation system.

Efficiency:
Users often rely on copy-pasting to save time. Having to manually correct formatting issues negates this efficiency and can lead to frustration and errors.

Market Opportunity

Improving the copy-pasting functionality in the Curam Notes Editor presents a significant market opportunity by enhancing user experience and productivity.

Usage frequency + #/type of users impacted

Users frequently copy and paste notes from Word documents into the Curam Notes Editor. This functionality is integral for caseworkers who need to document detailed information accurately and efficiently. Addressing these formatting issues will improve daily operations for a large portion of the user base.

CURAM:Workarounds + Proposed Solution

The current workaround is to correct the formatting manually after pasting the notes. This process significantly impacts the productivity and efficiency of caseworkers, as notes are used several times a day.
