Merative Ideas Portal

Shape the future of Merative!

We invite you to shape the future of Merative, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:

Post your ideas

Start by posting ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted and upvote them if they matter to you,

  1. Post an idea

  2. Upvote ideas that matter most to you

  3. Get feedback from the Merative team to refine your idea

Help Merative prioritize your ideas and requests

The Merative team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The offering manager team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at Merative works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.

Receive notification on the decision

Some ideas can be implemented at Merative, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.

Enhancement to have the OOTB Special Caution overlaps validation configurable

OOTB Curam V6.0.5.8 has validation that prevents special cautions from not overlapping.
The business requires that this restriction is removed to allow for concurrent special cautions to be created.

The validation is present in the VALIDATIONCONFIGURATION table, but is currently marked as not configurable.
Please see:
SELECT * FROM validationconfiguration WHERE EXCEPTIONID='specialcaution.err_specialcaution_xrv_category_and_type_overlaps_in_specified_date_range|a|';

This enhancement request is to enabled this validation as configurable.

    Hi Cong,

    We are happy to inform you that your enhancement request has been delivered in the new release of IBM Cúram Social Program Management, version 7.0.1.0.

    You can record special cautions for case members to highlight any items that require special attention or to capture areas of immediate concern. The categories of special cautions include health alerts, behavioral alerts, and safety alerts.

    To enable flexibility in how validations are applied, administrators can now configure the validation that previously prevented caseworkers from creating special cautions of the same type and period as an existing record. If special cautions of the same type and for the same period must overlap, you can disable the relevant validation.

    By default, this validation is enabled.

    If the agency requires that special cautions of the same type overlap for the same period, an administrator can disable the validation: specialcaution.err_specialcaution_xrv_category_and_type_overlaps_in_specified_date_range|a| in the VALIDATIONCONFIGURATION table.

    We hope that this addition to the product will meet your requirements sufficiently.

    I will now close this ticket as delivered.

    Thank you for your interest in the Cúram product.

    Hi Cong,

    We acknowledge that this enhancement request has been accepted for consideration. It may not be delivered within the release currently under development, however the theme is aligned with our current multi-year strategy and will be considered for a future release.

    You can implement this in the short term as follows:

    Using the table ValidationConfiguration, find the validationConfigurationIDs listed below and change the values
    (1) enabled, set to 0 and
    (2) configurable set to 1

    validationConfigurationID=5285 (i.e. exceptionID = specialcaution.err_specialcaution_xrv_category_and_type_overlaps_in_specified_date_range|a| )
    validationConfigurationID=5286 (i.e. exceptionID = specialcaution.err_specialcaution_xrv_category_and_type_overlaps_in_specified_date_range|a|1 )
    validationConfigurationID=5287 (i.e. exceptionID = specialcaution.err_specialcaution_xrv_category_code_and_type_code_exist|a )
    validationConfigurationID= 5288 (i.e. exceptionID = specialcaution.err_specialcaution_xrv_category_code_and_type_code_exist|a|1)

    IBM may consider and evaluate any RFE Community feedback for this request through activities such as voting.

    IBM will update this request in the future.

    Thank you for your interest in the Cúram product.

    Hi there,
    A MSD client may have multiple tresspass orders recorded for different offices. So we would require different special caution to overlap.
    Also a Warrant to Arrest Public Risk special caution may be ended and a new one can be added on the same date, hence they may overlap by one day.
    Thank you.

    Hi Cong,

    In order to evaluate your request, we require that you provide more detail around the business reasons you require concurrent special cautions to be allowed. It would be very helpful if you could describe the business scenario you are trying to support so that we can fully understand your requirements.

    If we do not receive this information within 30 days, this request will be closed.

    Thank you,
