Shape the future of Merative!

We invite you to shape the future of Merative, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:

Post your ideas

Start by posting ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted and upvote them if they matter to you,

  1. Post an idea

  2. Upvote ideas that matter most to you

  3. Get feedback from the Merative team to refine your idea

Help Merative prioritize your ideas and requests

The Merative team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The offering manager team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at Merative works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.

Receive notification on the decision

Some ideas can be implemented at Merative, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.

Identify PII , Confidential Data in Curam Data model for Data Anonymization and reporting purposes

For reasons including operations support and bug fixing, there is a need to always test updated code, scripts, DB scripts, Data upgrade scripts, data migration scripts, reports etc. against a "copy" of production data in a test environment.

But due to client confidentiality agreements and govt. policies in place, there are restrictions around bringing production data copy to a test env unless
the data is anonymized for the PII ( Personally Identifying Information) and any other confidential info (Ex: attachment or notes that might contain references to PII)
residing in the database.

There are tools in the market that allows one to anonymize the data or one can write own custom SQL scripts to do so.

While the tools/scripts can do the actual anonymization part bulk of the time is actually spend is to identify where in the 100s of tables and columns in the Curam framework PII info
is stored. To make matters worse some info is embedded inside XML files in a way that makes it very difficult to anonymize them.

It would be significant savings in time and effort if any PII/confidential data are marked as such in the Curam data model itself as part of the meta data. Additionally allowing customers also to mark
also do the same in their customizations as well in the data model.

This will help in a big way to reduce the effort in hunting down PII/confidential data and even allow to a certain degree to write scripts to automate data anonymization.
