Merative Ideas Portal

Shape the future of Merative!

We invite you to shape the future of Merative, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:

Post your ideas

Start by posting ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted and upvote them if they matter to you,

  1. Post an idea

  2. Upvote ideas that matter most to you

  3. Get feedback from the Merative team to refine your idea

Help Merative prioritize your ideas and requests

The Merative team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The offering manager team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at Merative works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.

Receive notification on the decision

Some ideas can be implemented at Merative, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.

application pdf does not show household relationships

The income support application pdf does not show household relationships between household members. This is a pain point for the state of south dakota who will be allowing citizens to apply for SNAP benefits using the application script in the citizen portal, and then processing the application in an external system.

This is a burden for the State of South Dakota staff as they are not able to enter the application into their system without completing a relationship field, which is critical in determining how to form Snap meal groups.

This is considered a critical feature required by South Dakota. The State of South Dakota is scheduled to go live with citizen portal on March 4, 2024, and this is potentially a show stopper for them. The business contact from the state of south dakota is Sam Masten from DSS.

Customer Name South Dakota
Persona Based Summary
  1. As a citizen, I want to be able to apply for SNAP online through the citizen portal and provide information about the people in my household, their relationships, and whether or not we purchase and prepare food together.

  2. As a case worker, I want to be able to view the application pdf that was submitted for SNAP, and see the relationships between the household members so that I can enter this information into my mainframe system. This allows me to process the application without having to call the customer about their relationships.

Market Segment Eligibility & Entitlement
Type of Request Customer Requirement
Market Opportunity

This satisfies the need for the State of South Dakota, and any states that might be using the citizen engagement/citizen portal to allow people to apply for benefits.

RFP Due Date (If Applicable) Feb 14, 2024
Usage frequency + #/type of users impacted

Daily usage, thousands of applications a month are affected. Any and all people who apply online for SNAP in SD are affected. And and all case workers who process online applications in SD are affected.

CURAM:Workarounds + Proposed Solution

Proposed solution: Add cluster to applicaiton pdf that displays the information that the person entered regarding their household relationships.

Workaround: Custom build this in the application pdf, which is a considerable effort; require case workers to contact all of the snap applicants before entering applications into the system.

    Hi Kelli,

We have reviewed your enhancement suggestion.

Based on the information provided, our understanding of your request is as follows:

    • You require Household relationship data to be output to the application PDF

Our offering currently provides a way to address this issue. We delivered improvements in V8.0.1 to enhance the PDF functionality which would support what you are attempting to achieve. This is documented in our UA Web App guide, page 242: Customizing the generic PDF summary form for processed applications. In order to achieve what you want you will need to modify the sample OOTB script to contain a final summary page with the details that you want to print.

We are closing this request and do not plan to take any further action. If you believe we have misunderstood your request, please respond within 7 days with clarifications.

Thank you for taking the time to share your ideas with us. We are committed to involving our users in building our product roadmap and appreciate your suggestions.

    Regards,

Graham McCrindle, CURAM Product Management Team
