Shape the future of Merative!

We invite you to shape the future of Merative, including product roadmaps, by submitting ideas that matter to you the most. Here's how it works:

Post your ideas

Start by posting ideas and requests to enhance a product or service. Take a look at ideas others have posted and upvote them if they matter to you,

  1. Post an idea

  2. Upvote ideas that matter most to you

  3. Get feedback from the Merative team to refine your idea

Help Merative prioritize your ideas and requests

The Merative team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The offering manager team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at Merative works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.

Receive notification on the decision

Some ideas can be implemented at Merative, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.

Adding Policy Links to CER

Hey

A common need seen on projects is the need to be able to track technical artifacts such as rules, evidence used by rules and business rules in general back to the legislation/Policy/Regulation that they relate too. This helps with testing, traceability, impact analysis etc

Can the system in areas like CER be enhanced to allow for say the rules XML to store metadata/annotations about that links back to the legislation/Policy/Regulation.

This metadata/annotations could also be read by CADG and display the policy beside the link, the CADG diff maybe useful here to to see what policy changed between releases

Thanks
John

    Hi John,

We have reviewed your enhancement suggestion and require more information to properly understand the issue and the business scenario you are trying to support.

We understand the business need to be able to trace technical artifacts such as rules back to the legislation/policy/regulation to which they relate. The SPM Curam Express Rules (CER) functionality contains a "Legislation" annotation feature where a URL can be provided, e.g. to an external site or an internal policy or requirements page.
It can be provided in the CER XML or via the CER editor and is included in the generated CADG (and RuleDoc) HTML pages and is clickable.

Please review the documentation outlined below and let us know if there is some customer requirement that we are not considering or some other reason why the existing functionality could not be used.

The following is a link to an Annotations section in the Developing with Eligibility and Entitlement by using Cúram Express Rules guide that describes the feature:
    https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SS8S5A_7.0.10/com.ibm.curam.content.doc/InsideEligibilityAndEntitlementUsingCER/c_INSEECER_Extensions1Legislation1.html

Please provide the requested information within 30 days so we may proceed with our evaluation. If we do not hear from you within that timeframe we will have to close the request due to insufficient information.

    Thank you,
Shane McFadden, SPM Offering Management team

forgot to add the business impact
trying to maintain this outside the technical artifacts means the rules and policy can become out of sync, this would enable easier modelling, impact analysis, traceability, audits etc. Multiple projects in Canada would benefit from this feature such as SAMS and ESDC
