The Curam team may need your help to refine the ideas so they may ask for more information or feedback. The offering manager team will then decide if they can begin working on your idea. If they can start during the next development cycle, they will put the idea on the priority list. Each team at Merative works on a different schedule, where some ideas can be implemented right away, others may be placed on a different schedule.

Some ideas can be implemented at Merative, while others may not fit within the development plans for the product. In either case, the team will let you know as soon as possible. In some cases, we may be able to find alternatives for ideas which cannot be implemented in a reasonable time.

NC Child Welfare system has a contact log that can be saved in the wizard state DB and resumed later before the data gets dispersed to individual DB tables. It is designed based on the requirement that while a contact log is created, the worker may have to save the data and resume it later. IBM PD had suggested using Curam Wizard and Wizard state functionality. The downside of the wizard state is that the interim data is stored as a serialized object. Suppose there is a change to the serialized object class between the production releases (Like adding a new attribute as part of the release). In that case, the user cannot reopen the previous version of the wizard state objects. This is limiting users' ability to resume the wizard. Either they need to delete and re-enter the data or the code needs to support backward compatibility for each release, which is not a sustainable solution.
RFE request is for a sustainable wizard state solution in which the wizard can be resumed after the serialized object class is changed.
